On Saturday, August 13, 2016, our forums were compromised. We took swift, decisive action as soon as we were alerted to breach and have already patched the hole. We are also evaluating further actions to protect our fourms. This breach was only to the fourms at MCProHosting. No other systems at MCProHosting were affected. All server data and client data remains safe and secure.
You may have received an email from us with a link to download something that is not hosted on MCProHosting. Please disregard this email. The staff at MCProHosting will never, ever, ask you to download something to communicate with us. We communicate via our ticket system and other systems that are hosted by MCProHosting.

To keep any account you have, anywhere, as safe as possible, we recommend that you regularly change your MCProHosting Forums password; and that you use a unique password for each of your online accounts. Keep in mind that using the same password for multiple online accounts significantly increases your chances of being compromised anywhere. Even though the passwords were not stolen, we recommend that if you were using (or are currently using) your MCProHosting Forums password across multiple online accounts, that you change your password for such other online accounts. We encourage you to regularly review your accounts and report any suspicious or unrecognized activity immediately.

We would like to take a moment to reassure everyone that passwords were not stolen, no client data was stolen in this breach. The only thing that happened was that emails were sent out that MCProHosting did not authorize.

Our forums also offer the ability to use "Two Factor Authentication" which will require another device or email address to login to your forums account. It is highly recommended that you activate this feature on your account to increase your account security and locate possible "red flags" within your account.

If you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to send a support ticket to us
